Pull up a chair, grab a beer, glass of wine, or water, it is going to be a long one. Here we are in the new year and I am already behind in this thing. We had a wonderful Christmas. Christmas eve after the kids opened their gift of PJs and toothbrushes, got their baths we did the annual drive around and see the lights tour. Put Santa's cookie and milk out on the counter and threaten the kids to get their butts in bed. At the squadron adult party I won a 8gig Zune. It is so cool and I hope to figure out how to use it by summer. LOL!!
Hubby and I settled down to start our annual watching of "A Christmas Sto ry"24 hours. I swear, everytime we watch it we find or hear something new. Earlier that day I did watch "It's a Wonderful L ife" and we can't forget "Christmas Vac ation". The Boy finally went to sleep at 11pm and we ummm… I mean Santa went into action and the tree looked like a package store threw up under it. A glass of wine and beer later the adults took their butts to bed. 430am The Girl came in and yelled that Santa came! After I peeled myself off the ceiling, I sent her back to her bed and said we are not allowed to open presents til 7am. Hmm funny the lump next to me never moved. At 7am, after the Girl woked up the Boy they threw the cat into our room to wake us up this time. It seem the cat had already opened her present and was high as a kite. We got up and gulped down some mouthwash and headed into the living room and proceed to let the paper fly. 7hrs later (just kidding) gifts opened, paper put into the recycle bag, toys finally separated from the packaging with blow torches and hacksaws, I went to do my kitchen duties. Breakfast was fixed and eaten, then dinner was prepared, phone calls made, clothes somewhat put on, dinner eaten, favorite toys taken to rooms and the last movie was watched and that was the end of Christmas. The next day I heard "I'm bored"! I couldn't believe my ears, oh wait, yes I could. The kids had 16 days off from school and the weather was not nice (for us anyway) until after they both got the sniffles and Hubby got what seem like the flu. I survived, oh I mean they survived. School started this past Monday and the Girl tried to pull the stomach ache trick. The Boy was happy to go because he remembered that he was class counter for the day. He had a loose tooth that we thought would come out for Christmas, it wasn't until Monday night when he finally pulled it out himself. It was worth $2 but it almost was worth $20 since the tooth fairy almost forgot until her husband woke her up when he came home from work. So in the dark the tooth fairy tried to get money from her Hubby's wallet but thought better of it and turned on a light. I got the go ahead from my V A rep to sign up for my classes. So I did it people, 4 classes starting 22 Jan. OMG! I lost my mind. Anyway, I got a taste of what I am going to be paying for the kids' college. Why in the world do people need to pay $108 for a paperback book? And since the book had been [paid for once and returned for a stupid small amount, why does the next person have to pay $81? What a rip off. On to other things, like a friend named Jessica, I too received a free sample a couple days after she blogged about it. The 2 bandaids they call a liner, the pad that would last 5 mins and the other pad with its own mini washcloth that would last 8 mins. Oh lets not forget to mention the 6 stickers and notepad that have on it "Have a happy________. Tell me "Always", why would a woman that is going through pre-menopause, with periods that come whenever they feel like it and throw on top of that mega hot-flashes, have a F***ing happy period? Try telling that to my Hubby and see what you get. Sat night, I was having flashes so bad that I was getting dizzy. I read up on it and learned that you get a lot of other problems when you get hot flashes. What happens is that your temp can drop 3 degrees during the flash and then you get the chills right afterwards while your body tries to warm back up. Thus, the dizziness, anxiety, sleeplessness, weakness, and heart palpations. The following has become my friends especially the New Phase, it has worked wonders. To close here is a pic of life of a cat and two lizards. You can see the lizard on the back wall of aqaurium.
